The 2nd Workshop of the PASCAL Project will be held between December 13th and 14th at the JRC site in Petten, the Netherlands.

The Workshop is aimed at providing PhD students and young professionals with an overview of the technical topics being investigated – experimentally and numerically – within the scope of Work Package 2 “Safety of the reactor coolant system” and Work Package 4 “Integrity and resistance”.

The main objective of this Workshop is to introduce the key aspects of the safety-relevant phenomena investigated in the two Work Packages, and to highlight state-of-the-art research being conducted in the Project to master them.

According to the general structure of the Project, all subjects will be addressed focusing on both their experimental investigation, and on the modeling for their numerical analysis, including interpretation, validation and extrapolation.

The programme includes two days of training from December 13th 9:00 AM to December 14th 4:00 PM, and a visit to the PALLAS construction site, in the early afternoon of December 13th.

Details can be found in the detailed agenda.
